What does being a Community Credit Union mean to Family 1? What is Family 1 about?

We hope you'll assume that we're about helping members achieve their financial goals and dreams. But, did you know that we're also about youth enrichment?

We hope you'll help us enrich the lives of kids in our Communities. We hope you'll help the Boys & Girls Clubs build their new building. We hope you'll donate to causes that we at Family 1 care deeply about.

Click on the links below to see why you, too, should care....

When you deposit to your Family 1 account, "Round Down" to the nearest dollar (or five or ten).  When you withdraw, "Round Down" your balance.  All funds collected will be transferred to the Boys & Girls Clubs Building Fund.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Placentia Video-A picture is worth a thousand words.

It all began in 2005 when the Chapman Memorial Foundation generously donated the deed of the land at 132 E. Crothwer to the Boys & Girls Club. The land was originally purchased by the Chapman's in 1970 for the Boys & Girls Club.

On May 16, 2006, the City of Placentia executed a no cost land lease for the Boys & Girls Club to build a 25,000 square foot building on Kraemer Park. The building will be located at the South West corner of the park and will incorporate the City's teen center.

The requirement for funding continues. You may not realize it, but many generous donations have been made by benefactors who have requested that they remain anonymous.  Love of community and kids has inspired their acts.  We hope you'll be inspired, too.

The campaign is off to a great start, but they need your help! The campaign has received cash and pledges in the amount of $3.2 million with $2.7 million to go!   EVERY CONTRIBUTION HELPS!   Donate

Fund Raising Events   Join in the fun while supporting a great cause!   The Golf Tournament is held in September and The St. Patrick's Day Event is held in March.  The most recent St. Patrick's Day Event raised over $42,000 for the youth in North Orange County.
