A Word from our CEO, Patricia White . . .
One of Family 1’s strengths is, and has always been, our care and concern for members and their families. Our team of effective and dedicated employees share the philosophy that "we are always willing to work a little harder" to meet the challenges of both our members’ needs and the changing business environment. As a member-owned institution, we always remember that we are people helping people. Our whole philosophy of business is based on member service. We believe that our Credit Union values and our focus on top-notch member service make a winning combination.
The changes we have undertaken over the past three years have positioned us to make significant enhancements needed for phenomenal growth and prosperity. We look forward to the next five years with tremendous excitement! We will be significantly expanding our membership base, while we work to better meet the needs of our community.
We want to be our members’ preferred provider of financial services. To achieve this vision, Family 1 will continue to meet its members’ ever changing financial needs with an increasing quality of service along with innovative, leading edge products. Convenience is our watchword. We’re making it easier than ever to transact business with us from wherever our members are located. When members need us, we’re there.

Family 1 Federal Credit Union exists to develop such strong member confidence in our financial services and products that our members come to Family 1 first and feel no need or desire to look elsewhere.

We build skills into all levels of Family 1 Federal Credit Union to help each team member be more self sufficient, self-managed and productive.

Attention to detail, the proper equipment, intentional people development, an emphasis on continuous improvement, strong member relationships and team morale all work together to ensure the product and service excellence that keeps us in business at the forefront of our industry.
 
Expanding Member Base: We aggressively market our services to increase our member base. We focus significant time and resources on developing new growth opportunities. We reach out to a broad cross-section of people because we believe that diversity creates a strong member base.
Profitability: Our solid leadership and up-to-date management insure superior products and services to meet the long-term needs of our members, while we maintain profitable financial health. As a member-owned organization, profits are used for the ultimate benefit of our member-owners.

STRATEGY

In order to achieve this vision we will focus on six major strategy areas:
 
Member Service - Aim: To develop "knock your socks off" member service. We want our members to really understand what it is to have friendly, helpful and effective professionals on their team, helping meet their financial services needs. Once members have that experience, they’ll never want to do business anywhere else.

People Development 
- Aim: To create an effective strategy to encourage our employees’ personal and professional growth, at the same time offering members opportunities to enhance their understanding of personal financial management.

New Products 
- Aim: To establish a clear process for introducing improved financial services, including product development, staff training and member orientation.

Marketing 
- Aim: To enroll new members from our existing base, as well as working to attract new institutions. We look for cross-selling opportunities with existing members because we want the greatest number of people to benefit from our superior products and services.

Communication 
- Aim: To provide all our constituents with a clear understanding of our vision and strategies, and how they can benefit; to insure solid employee teamwork through clear communications.
Expansion - Aim: To ensure the optimum use of Family 1 Federal Credit Union resources in new market areas by care-fully targeting growth opportunities.
