Beware of Cell Phone Text Scam!
Members have received fraudulent cell phone text messages, supposedly sent by WesCom Credit Union. This message is being sent to a large number of cell phone numbers; members and non-members alike. It directs the recipient to call a number to reactivate a Credit Card or ATM card. Here is an example of the the message:
"This is an message from Wescom C.U. Your ATM card is deactivated, to reactivate call XXX-XXX-XXXX."
For your security, never respond to this type of message. If you have provided information, please contact us immediately at (714) 577-8454.
New Loan Program for Small Businesses!
America’s Recovery Capital (ARC) Loan Program is a new temporary guaranteed-loan program authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the Recovery Act). ARC Loans provide small businesses access to the capital needed to drive economic recovery and to retain and create jobs.
ARC Loans are deferred-payment loans of up to $35,000 available through SBA. Potential borrowers are viable, for-profit small businesses located in the United States that need short-term help to make their principal and interest payments on existing, qualifying loans. ARC Loans are interest-free to the borrower and have no fees associated with them. ARC Loan funds are to be used for payments of principal and interest for up to six months on existing, qualifying small business loans. Click for more information or to apply.
